PRESS RELEASE

1. It is informed that the Government of Telangana State has declared“Bathukamma” as State festival.
2. Therefore, All the principals of Junior Colleges and Composite Degree Colleges offering Intermediate courses in Telangana State are hereby informed that as per the request of the Commissioner of Intermediate Education, Telangana State all the Junior colleges in Telangana State will be closed for first term (Dasara) Holidays for the academic year 2014-2015 during the period from 25-09-2014 to 07-10-2014 (Both days inclusive). After vacations, the colleges will reopen on 08-10-2014. The left over half yearly exams shall be conducted after re-opening of colleges i.e., from 08-10-2014.
3. Further, it is informed that the colleges will function on 10th & 11th of January 2015 to compensate the loss of working days due to the change in Dasara holidays schedule.
4. In view of the above the principals of Telangana State are requested to adhere to above schedule strictly. Further all the principals and managements of private Un- Aided junior colleges in Telangana State are instructed not to conduct any classes during the holidays.
