Chief Minister Kalwakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao introduced the historic Revenue Bill in the Legislative Assembly. The Telangana CM said that he is happy to sing the death anthem to the sufferings of the people from time immemorial and to propose in this House a new law which is simplified especially for the poor. The bill applies to every family in the state. Many production tools have come up in modern times. He added that Man's life revolved around the earth. Agriculture has been practiced for the last six thousand years. Since then its value has increased as land has been identified as a means of production. Even today there are land issues. Land reforms are very much about to be channeled in a systematic way. During this period many revenue reforms took place in Telangana. Some changes took place during the reigns of PV Narasimha Rao, NTR, Chandrababu and YS. Past rulers have not shown a permanent solution to revenue problems. The CM recalled that there had been several attacks on revenue officials in the past, Shri KCR said.
